Science is complicated, particularly Microbiology! That's why I created this blog - to explain science (mainly Microbiology) currently in the news. Microbiology is the study of small organisms that we usually can not see, unless we use a microscope.
Microbiology is all around us (be it in the bread that we eat or the wine that we drink). It's found everywhere (even in space!!) and is even inside every one of us.

Viruses, bacteria, fungi and amoeba are often deemed as 'scary' by most people, however these little guys are more beneficial than you think - and hopefully I can prove that these guys need to be respected, but not totally feared!

I mostly blog about bacteria (as I've had years of research and medical experience with them) but due to my new job the 'brain' may feature quite a lot! Sometimes I'll blog about something totally different, like quantom theory or velociraptors, just to suprise you and keep you on your toes!
